Behind the name

Our name Hexaflex Strategies is derived from an mathematical research paper that our Founder, Andrew Louie, wrote on the concepts of the Hexaflexagon when he attended The Bronx High School of Science in the late 80's. These Hexaflexagons--that were originally invented, and explored by Arthur Stone, Briant Tuckerman, Richard Feynman and John Tukey-- inspired Andrew who loved the fact that they are seemingly 2 dimensional, however, hidden beneath are additional dimensions.

Hexaflex Strategies was incorporated under the principle that the ability to take advantage of these hidden possibilities is what separates the disruptive innovators and market leaders from the rest of the pack. We aim to unlock these possibilities for our clients.

What is a Hexaflexagon?

In a nutshell, Hexaflexagons are flat models constructed out of paper that in addition to the two original sides, the back and front, can be flexed or folded in certain ways to reveal additional faces. Most commonly, the hexaflexagon refers to the hexahexaflexagon that contains a total of six faces.
